Strength. Desire. Immortality. The ancient hero Hercules evokes a wide range of associations, from eros to melancholy, attraction to repulsion, fullness to emptiness. To visually articulate these dimensions as well as the multifaceted ways in which cultural images are delivered both past and present, I blended analog and digital processes in my experimental darkroom printing practice.
